How to Make Homemade Coffee Creamers

Buying coffee creamer over and over at the grocery can add up. Learn how to make your own coffee creamer at home!

If you're like 48% of Americans you probably add some sort of sweetener to your coffee to lighten it up. While there is a big movement towards different additives like butter, coconut oil and other ingredients to flavor your coffee creamer is still top dog in the additive world. 

That being said we came across a great recipe idea on MrsHappyHomemaker.com that we wanted to share with everyone! These directions break down the "base recipe" for creamer and over 2 dozen different combinations to try that will give you different types of creamers!

Directions:

  1. Create base recipe for creamer.
  2. Add flavor desired (see chart below) and mix well.
  3. Store in refrigerator in sealed mason jar.
  4. Add to coffee to taste.

Base Recipe:

  • To create base creamer recipe mix ingredients below.
  • 14 oz of sweetened condensed milk.
  • 1 3/4 cup milk or cream. (Whichever milk you most prefer, however the "fatter" the milk, the thicker the cream)

Flavored Recipes:

​French Vanilla 

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract or vanilla coffee syrup

Chocolate Almond

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Coconut

  • 2 teaspoons coconut extract

Cinnamon Vanilla

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Sweet Cream

  • Use 1 3/4 cups of heavy cream instead of the milk in the base recipe
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Hazelnut

  • 2 teaspoons hazelnut extract
