Have you spotted a green frog adorning some of our specialty coffees and teas? While the stamp may be small, there’s a big meaning behind this little symbol. As an indicator species, green frogs hold a very important purpose in our ecosystem by signifying that an environment is healthy and livable. It’s fitting that this amphibian represents a prestigious certification that indicates a farm, forest, or tourism enterprise has been audited to meet standards that require environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
We’re proud to say that several of our coffee and tea farm producers are Rainforest Alliance Certified™ and are consistently examined to verify that the farmers are complying with the Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard’s requirements. The Standard is comprised of these aspects of sustainable farming:
- Biodiversity conservation
- Improved livelihoods and human well-being
- Natural resource conservation
- Effective planning and farm management systems
Royal Cup recognizes the necessity of a healthy economic state in order to positively influence the well-being of our employees, partners, and customers. That’s why we provide an annual update on the sustainable initiatives at Royal Cup’s Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee and tea farm producers.
We’re committed to working towards operating in the most efficient, sustainable manner and are proud to showcase the iconic Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal on several of our products.
