How to Make Tiramisu with H.C. Valentine Espresso

Tiramisu is one of the most underrated desserts of all time, and is often overshadowed by more popular choices like gooey brownies, ice cream, or chocolate pie. But once you've had really good tiramisu, it will change your life. This particular recipe uses dark rum, spongy ladyfinger cookies, and our H.C. Valentine Signature Organic Espresso, so you know it's going to be absolutely delicious -- here's how to make it.

  1. Line the bottom of an 8x8 baking pan with half of the ladyfingers, cutting to fit as necessary. Drizzle half of your espresso over cookies and set aside.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl, beat together the mascarpone cheese, whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the dark rum until everything is combined.

  3. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over your ladyfingers and sprinkle your milk chocolate shreds over the top. Top with another layer of ladyfingers, pour over remaining espresso, and top with another layer of the mascarpone cheese mixture.

  4. Cover and chill for 6 to 24 hours. Sift cocoa powder over top of dessert before serving.
