Stay Fueled on the 4th with these 4 Cold Brew Inspired Recipes

The Fourth of July, also known as Independence Day, July 4th, or simply the best day of the year, is a time to celebrate our country and all the great things we hold dear – including the freedom to enjoy our coffee in all shapes, sizes, and flavors!

Whether you’re throwing a party for friends, hanging out with family, or just taking it easy this Independence Day, remember – coffee, coffee, coffee is always a good idea. In honor of the holiday, we wanted to share with you a few fun ways to incorporate our favorite summer drink – delicious, cold brew coffee – into your plans. 

So, enjoy the Fourth of July in all of its patriotic glory with these four cold-brew-inspired recipes (adult and kid-friendly options available).  

 

Long Island Iced Coffee

Ingredients: 

1 tbsp of dark rum
1 tbsp of vodka 
1 tbsp of gin
1 tbsp of tequila
2 tbsp of ginger beer 
1-2 tbsp of lime juice 
Your favorite Royal Cup Cold Brew Coffee
Lime wedges to serve 

Instructions: 

Fill a tall glass halfway with ice 
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, spirits and lime juice; shake briefly 
Strain over ice in the glass and add ginger beer and cold brew.
Stir and garnish with lime wedges

 

Lemonade Iced Coffee

Ingredients: 

Your favorite Royal Cup Cold Brew Coffee
Sugar
Water
Lemons 
Mint Leaves 

Instructions: 

Bring small pot of water to boil
Add sugar in a 1:1 ratio and stir until sugar dissolves to make simple syrup
Pour cold brew in a glass a third of the way full
Squeeze fresh lemon juice and add to glass
Add 2 tablespoons of the simple syrup to the mix and blend thoroughly
Top off the glass with ice and garnish with sliced lemons and mint leaves

 

Mint Mojito Iced Coffee Popsicles

Ingredients: 

Popsicle mold 

Fresh mint 
Half and half 
Your favorite Royal Cup Cold Brew Coffee
2-4 tbsp of brown sugar 

Instructions: 

Add brown sugar to your cold brew coffee
Place a few torn mint leaves into each popsicle mold and top with a few tablespoons of half and half
Freeze for 15-20 minutes until slightly firm.
Insert popsicle sticks into each mold and freeze for 20 minutes until set
Remove pops form the freezer and top with sweetened cold brew coffee
Freeze 20-40 minutes until firm. Enjoy!

 

Toasted Coconut and Rum Iced Coffee

Ingredients: 

Creamer Ingredients and directions:

1 ½ cups of unsweetened coconut flakes 
One 14 oz can of full-fat coconut milk 
1/3 cup dark brown sugar 

Instructions: 

Heat oven to 350ºF, spread coconut on sheet pan and bake 5 minutes.Stir and repeat until coconut is golden
Heat coconut milk and brown sugar in saucepan, add coconut and bring to a boil
Let mixture simmer for 10 minutes
Remove from heat, cover and steep for 20 minutes before straining out the coconut flakes
Pour toasted coconut creamer into a jar and refrigerate until ready to use 

In a glass, combine one cup of your favorite Royal Cup Cold Brew (we recommend the ready-to-drink Rainforest Bold), a few tablespoons of the toasted coconut creamer and 1 oz of rum. Top with ice and garnish with whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes.
