Mocha Recipes with Holiday Cheer

Ah, the brisk chill is in the air. Everyone’s humming the last Christmas song they heard in the car as they shop through the endless deals making sure they didn’t leave anyone off the gift list. This time of year can move pretty fast, but always make time for that little thing that’s just for you. For many of us, that’s making a fresh cup of coffee in the morning, or even better, mocha recipes with a pinch of holiday cheer!

Colder weather means warmer drinks, but we always need to add a little something to change it up, right? These holiday mocha recipes are easy ways to add a little holiday cheer to your morning cup. Most ingredients are simple things found in your kitchen as well! Impress the family or friend stopping by with an elevated coffee to kickstart the morning for a productive day around the office or home. You could even go a step further and make your own coffee syrups!

Peppermint Mocha

  • 1 cup steamed milk
  • 1 cup strong coffee like our Signature Blend or Sumatran
  • 1 ½ tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons peppermint syrup
  • For garnish: whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and crushed peppermints.

Directions:

  1. Mix together steamed milk and coffee in a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Whisk in cocoa powder, sugar and peppermint syrup.
  3. Simmer for 1 min. Whisk continuously. 
  4. Pour into mug and garnish the top with your whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and crushed peppermints.

White Chocolate Mocha

  • 1 ½ cup strong coffee like our Signature Blend or Sumatran
  • ½ cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons white chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For garnish: whipped cream and white chocolate chips.

Directions:

  1. Combine coffee, milk and white chocolate in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer over low heat.
  3. Whisk continuously. Simmer for 2 min.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour into a mug and garnish with whipped cream and white chocolate chips.

Cinnamon Spice Mocha

  • 1 cup strong coffee like our Signature Blend or Sumatran
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • For garnish: whipped cream and cinnamon sticks.

Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine coffee and milk.
  2. Whisk in cocoa powder, cinnamon, and sugar.
  3. Simmer for 1 min. Whisk continuously.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour into a mug and garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon sticks.

Salted Caramel Mocha

  • 1 ½ cup strong coffee like our Signature Blend or Sumatran
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tablespoons caramel syrup
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • For garnish: Whipped cream, caramel sauce, and sea salt.

Directions:

  1. Combine coffee and milk in a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Wisk in cocoa powder, caramel syrup, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Simmer for 1 min. Whisk continuously.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Pour into a mug and garnish with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and a pinch of sea salt.
