Cinco de Mayo- But Make it Caffeinated!

Looking to add a twist to your Cinco de Mayo celebrations? Well look no further. It’s only right that we at Royal Cup provide you with a couple recipes today that star both tequila AND coffee for the perfect –and caffeinated-- festive drink!

These cold brew tequila recipes will kick your beverages up a notch and may even make their way to your new favorites list!

 

Tequila Cold Brew

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Prepared Cold Brew Concentrate
  • 1.5 oz Patron Tequila
  • 1 oz vanilla simple syrup
  • .5 oz heavy whipping cream
  • Ice
  • Coffee beans to Garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the cold brew by mixing 1 part concentrate with 3 parts water, and stir.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
  3. Shake to blend.
  4. Pour into a glass using a cocktail strainer.
  5. Top it off with coffee beans.
  6. Enjoy!

 

Coffee Margarita

Ingredients:

  • .75 oz Silver Tequila
  • 5.5 oz Royal Cup Signature Cold Brew
  • .5 oz Triple Sec
  • .75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • .75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • Ice
  • Orange (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the cold brew by mixing 1 part coffee with 3 parts water, and stir.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
  3. Shake to blend.
  4. Strain over fresh Ice in a double old-fashioned glass
  5. Garnish with a slice of fresh orange on a cocktail stirrer.
  6. Enjoy!

 

Fun Fact: We all look forward to our favorite Cinco de Mayo traditions. But do you know the history behind the day? May 5 is the celebration of Mexican heritage and culture, specifically the victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.
