How to Make an Apricot Peach Sweet Tea Cocktail

Reading time: 1 minute

Although we're sad about summer officially ending, we're excited to break out a pitcher of these apricot peach iced tea cocktails for Labor Day. This drink is perfect for sipping by the pool and savoring over the last long weekend of summer. We also hear it pairs well with whatever you're throwing on the grill. ;)

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups sugar

6 cups water, divided into thirds

4 tablespoons H.C. Valentine Apricot Peach loose leaf tea

1 cup of your favorite light rum

5 peaches, sliced and divided

DIRECTIONS

-Make a tea concentrate by placing loose tea in a large Teaze brewer, covering with 2 cups boiling water, and letting it steep for 5 minutes. Drain tea and let it cool.

-Make your peach simple syrup by combining 2 cups water, sugar, and half of the peach slices over heat and stirring until sugar completely dissolves. Allow it to cool.

-Fill your tea pitcher with ice, top with tea concentrate, simple syrup, remaining 2 cups of water, and your favorite rum. Add remaining peach slices and stir to combine.
