Royal Cup Coffee and Tea will kick off Innovation Week this Wednesday, August 24, by sponsoring 1 Million Cups and SIP, two events benefiting local startup entrepreneurs.

1 Million Cups is a national program designed to educate, engage, and connect local entrepreneurs over coffee. Royal Cup and Icebox Coffee are the official coffee sponsors of 1 Million Cups in Birmingham and will provide beverages for attendees every week at Innovation Depot.

SIP is a collaboration to bring some of the best and brightest minds in Birmingham to Trim Tab Brewery for beer, coffee, and innovative ideas. This event will focus on entrepreneurship and highlight the stories of three people who are making it happen in the Magic City.

The speakers are Tanesha Sims-Summers of Naughty but Nice Kettle Corn Company; Harris Stewart of Trim Tab Brewery; and Scott Kappler, Vice President of Marketing for 2nd and Charles and Books a Million. SIP attendees will also get an exclusive taste of Royal Cup’s cold brew coffee in a can.

Birmingham Innovation Week is an annual celebration of innovation in Birmingham and the inventors, investors, entrepreneurs, supporters and catalysts that drive it. It is an open platform to showcase the numerous organizations and initiatives that support the Birmingham innovation ecosystem and the rich human capital foundation that drives it.
